Is a small, selective membrane-permeable molecule that is an inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), a cytosolic enzyme that plays a role in cellular metabolism and energy homeostasis. This NNMT inhibitor is being used to prevent adipogenesis (fat accumulation), type II diabetes, and reversing diet-induced obesity as a result of increased intracellular NAD + and SAM. As fat cells grow larger, they begin to overproduce an enzyme called NNMT (nicotinamide N-methyltransferase). This enzyme acts to slow down fat cell metabolism (fat burning). This slowdown makes it harder for these cells to burn accumulating fat. As fat tissue grows and more NNMT is produced, higher amounts of hormones and pro-inflammatory signals are produced that are responsible for weight gain and other chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The molecule 5-amino-1MQ blocks this metabolic slowdown in white fat cells caused by excess NNMT. By blocking this metabolic slowdown, it increases the metabolism within the white fat cells. By inhibiting the NNMT enzyme, we can increase fat cell metabolism and reduce the size of white fat deposits. Yes and no. Once optimal growth hormone levels are achieved, they can be sustained for a long time after final injection. We’ve only seen this, if weight resistance training and a healthy diet are implemented along with the patient’s peptide treatment.
For those who are not as active or lucky, once results are achieved, patients are then switched to a maintenance protocol. Thus, eliminating the need for ongoing nightly injections and reducing the total cost of therapy. However, this will be determined through follow-up blood work and the patient’s feedback during peptide treatment.
No. In comparison to injectable Human Growth Hormone / HGH, peptides are safer, more affordable, and can be just as effective. Our endocrine system can safely regulate (through a negative feedback loop) the amount of growth hormone released by the pituitary gland. This results in zero overload to the system, increased safety and prevention of side effects. You cannot overdose from peptide treatments.
